I am a master's level Reading Specialist with advanced training in structured literacy and the Orton-Gillingham approach. I specialize in working with students with dyslexia and persistent reading challenges, providing explicit, systematic instruction designed to build strong foundational literacy skills.

With a background in classroom teaching and years of focused intervention experience, I understand how to identify skill gaps and address them directly. My instruction is diagnostic and individualized — carefully tailored to each student’s pace, strengths, and areas of need.

My Approach

Reading difficulties are rarely solved with more practice alone. Students need instruction that is structured, cumulative, and rooted in how the brain learns to read.

Using evidence-based Orton-Gillingham principles, I provide:

  • Explicit phonics and word study instruction

  • Multisensory learning to strengthen memory

  • Structured review for long-term retention

  • Ongoing assessment to guide instruction

This approach helps students move beyond guessing and develop accurate, confident reading and spelling skills.

Why Families Choose Structured Intervention

Dyslexia intervention requires consistency, expertise, and a clear instructional plan. My twice-weekly model ensures students receive the repetition and systematic instruction necessary for measurable progress.

Families value not only improved reading skills, but increased confidence, independence, and a stronger academic foundation.

My Commitment

Every child can learn to read with the right instruction. I am committed to providing structured, research-based intervention that supports lasting growth — not temporary improvement.

If you are seeking specialized support grounded in the science of reading, I welcome the opportunity to partner with your family.
